Casas Nepenpiren

Cerro Chapelco , Neuquen

In the Las Pendientes neighborhood, a short drive from Chapelco ski resort and a few kilometers from the center of San Martín de los Andes, a group of vacation rental houses has been operating for over twenty years. Today it stands as one of the most varied lodging collections in the area. Nepenpiren was born from the initiative of a group of friends who wanted to enjoy the region, and over time it grew into eleven individually named properties — each with its own character and dimensions, but united by a consistent standard of quality.

The houses range from 120 m² to 400 m², making them suitable for mid-sized groups as well as large family gatherings. The largest, Amancay, covers 400 m² and sleeps up to ten people across four bedrooms; at the other end of the scale, Del Arroyo is the most compact option at 120 m², designed for up to five guests. In between are houses like Del Puma (170 m², ten people), Los Carpinteros (320 m², eight people), and Ojo de Agua (230 m², ten people), among others. Several properties feature loft spaces and multiple bathrooms; some units, such as Hava Khana I and II, offer direct vehicle access.

The full catalog includes Amancay, Aton I, Aton II, Aton III, Cardos I, Cardos II, Del Arroyo, Hava Khana I, Hava Khana II, Los Lupinos, Del Puma, Los Carpinteros, Ojo de Agua, and Toki Village. This range allows a single large group to rent adjacent units, or families of different sizes to find the right fit within the same private enclave.

The Las Pendientes location makes Nepenpiren a natural base for winter visitors. Chapelco, one of Patagonia’s main ski resorts, is just minutes away by car, and the neighborhood itself offers equipment rental services, a snow garden, and a local restaurant. Beyond skiing, the surroundings are suited to snowshoeing, husky sledding, and ski touring for those who prefer venturing off-piste.

In summer, the offer shifts entirely. Proximity to the lakes and rivers of Lanín National Park opens the door to trekking, kayaking, horseback riding, and fly fishing — the activities that define the Lakes Corridor in this season. San Martín de los Andes, a few kilometers downhill, provides urban amenities, restaurants, and shops without diminishing the natural setting.

What sets Nepenpiren apart in the Patagonian lodging market is not a single standout property but the coherence of the whole: over two decades of sustained operation, eleven houses managed under a consistent standard, and enough scale to host large groups who prefer to share one enclave rather than scatter across different parts of town.
