Those fossils are embedded in the complex’s dry-stone walls (pircas) and in decorative objects throughout the common areas, making local geological history part of the property’s visual language. It’s a gesture that connects the place to its territory in a way that’s unusual for an urban accommodation.

Construction involved artisans, professionals, artists, and designers working in coordination to shape a building of contemporary architecture notable for the quality of its finishes. That higher standard extends to material choices: non-native plantation timber was used throughout to avoid impacting the region’s native flora, and the complex incorporates solar panels for thermal energy generation, covering a significant portion of its hot water and heating demand. The operator notes that Amonite was the first urban apart-hotel in the country to adopt this technology.
