Bike & Paddle Patagonia

Bike & Paddle Patagonia is the active tourism company founded in 2012 by Julián and Katie Tisato, based in El Bolsón, Río Negro. Julián, a whitewater instructor certified by Boreal River Rescue and a guide for rafting, kayaking, mountain biking, and canoeing, designs each itinerary according to the group’s profile. Katie handles logistics and pre-trip communication with travelers.
The catalog covers single-day outings and multi-day packages at varying levels of difficulty. Among the most distinctive offerings are rafting descents on the Futaleufú river — one of the most recognized whitewater rivers in South America — kayak and inflatable raft trips on the Manso and Azul rivers, mountain bike circuits along trails and tracks in the Andean Patagonia, and the Patagonia Crossing: an eight-day journey between Argentina and Chile on foot and by boat through mountain lakes and forests. They also operate the Patagonia Lodge Week in partnership with La Confluencia, an off-grid refuge in the Río Azul Natural Protected Area.
In addition to Julián, the team includes local guides: Mirko, from Trevelin, on mountain bike and whitewater outings, and Fidel, a whitewater kayak specialist and lead guide on the Futaleufú. Packages cover transfers, equipment, and selected accommodation; prices start at USD 1,850 for the six-day family adventure and reach USD 5,750 for the Futaleufú multi-sport experience. Fully customized itineraries are also available.
