Bodega Chandon
Located in the heart of Agrelo, within the department of Luján de Cuyo, Bodega Chandon represents a meeting point between French winemaking tradition and the particularities of Mendoza’s soil. Since its founding in 1959, the winery has centred its identity on the production of high-quality sparkling wines, drawing on the climatic and geographical conditions of this area of Mendoza to develop a style of its own that honours its historical roots.
Identity and legacy in the terroir of Agrelo
The significance of this estate lies in its ability to interpret the local terroir through an inherited technique. With more than six decades of history on Argentine soil, the winery has consolidated a process that values the history and character of its origins. Production is based on a deep knowledge of the surroundings, where the crafting of sparkling wines seeks to highlight the region’s natural characteristics while maintaining a constant connection with the classic methods that define this style of wine.
The winery tour
The experience inside the winery allows visitors to observe the complexity of its production up close. Visit options are structured to offer different levels of engagement with the winemaking process. There are guided group tours that include a tasting of the sparkling wines, as well as more exclusive options such as private visits in the Cava, where the focus shifts to a more intimate encounter with the product and its ageing. These tours allow visitors to understand how technical craft and attention to the final product intertwine at each stage.
Surroundings and gathering proposals
Beyond the technical activity, the space functions as a point of integration with the landscape of Luján de Cuyo. The winery offers settings for enjoying the area through more relaxed activities, such as picnics or sharing boards in its gardens, combining gastronomy with the natural surroundings. Multi-course lunches paired with the winery’s own sparkling wines are also on offer, providing a complete sensory experience in which the product is the central axis of the encounter with the Mendoza landscape.
