Llao Llao Golf Club
Llao Llao Golf Club is a course designed along the logic of mountain layouts, situated in a strategic location on Avenida Exequiel Bustillo, in the Perito Moreno sector. Its significance within Bariloche’s sporting circuit lies in its integration with the region’s natural surroundings, offering a layout that adapts to the irregularities of the Patagonian terrain. The course follows a parkland style, where the vegetation and geographic features of the area are not merely a backdrop but active elements that define the difficulty of each hole.
Course characteristics
The layout unfolds across rolling terrain that incorporates water hazards, demanding precision throughout play. With a length of approximately 5,600 to 5,800 yards and a par of 70 or 71 depending on the configuration, the course presents specific technical challenges. The topography requires careful tee-shot placement to avoid penalties from the elevation changes and natural obstacles. A standout feature of the design is hole 18, a par 3 of approximately 200 yards that plays over the lake, incorporating the body of water directly into the playing experience.
Setting and landscape
The experience at the club is shaped by the visibility of the surrounding lakes and the mountain formations that encircle the Llao Llao area. The course is defined by its mountain character, where the interplay between the turf and native vegetation creates an environment of transition between the sporting and the natural. The proximity of the Llao Llao hotel completes this context, establishing the club as a reference point within the region’s landscape architecture.
Club facilities
The club has a clubhouse that serves as its operational hub and a pro shop for equipment. For those without their own gear, the facility offers club rental services covering different brands and club types, with options for both men and women. Movement around the course can be made by cart, both manual and electric, depending on the season and the player’s needs.
