Cabañas Antuken

Cabañas Antuken is an accommodation complex located in the heart of San Martín de los Andes, within walking distance of Lake Lácar and a short drive from the entrances to Lanín National Park. Its address on Belgrano — in the 1000 block — places it inside the town center, making the main commercial streets easily accessible on foot, while the property itself climbs a forested hillside and includes private trails that wind through the native woodland.

The complex is open year-round and offers four cabin types depending on group size. The smallest have one bedroom and sleep up to four; mid-range two-bedroom cabins accommodate six. For larger groups there are two three-bedroom options: one with two bathrooms sleeping up to eight, and one with three bathrooms sleeping up to nine. Every cabin comes with a fully equipped kitchen — appliances and cookware included — a living room with a 32-inch LCD TV, a wood-burning fireplace, and central radiator heating, which matters during Neuquén winters. Master bedrooms have their own TV and a jacuzzi-equipped bathroom; an additional toilet with shower and a heated towel rail complete each unit.

What sets Antuken apart from other cabin complexes in the area is its shared infrastructure. The indoor heated pool features a glass roof and glass side panels that keep both the water and the surrounding air warm across all four seasons. It stays open until 11pm, has a shallow children’s section, and has its own changing room and bathrooms on-site.

The spa operates as a separate facility with a dry sauna, a jacuzzi large enough for six people, and a massage room. A mini-gym with a treadmill and stationary bike rounds out the space. Massages can also be arranged in-cabin on request.

For asados — an integral part of any trip to the Andean Patagonia — the complex has two quincho pavilions. The smaller one has its own grill, a pool table, and ping pong. The large quincho has three grills and adds a foosball table, making it suitable for larger gatherings. Both are available within the property without extra reservation.

Outdoors there is a padel court with a basketball hoop. The children’s area is unusually well-equipped: a professional trampoline, a timber mangrullo tower with a slide, swings and walkways at different heights, and small forest playhouses. Private trails climb the hillside from within the property for guests who want to explore the surrounding forest.

Services included with every cabin: daily housekeeping, bed linen, towels and dedicated pool and spa towels, WiFi throughout the complex, and both covered and uncovered parking. Each unit has an electronic safe.

Optional extras include a regional breakfast subject to seasonal availability, babysitting, transfers to Cerro Chapelco ski resort or the airport, and additional spa massage sessions.
