Cabañas Antu Hue Sur

The name comes from Mapuche: antu (sun) and hue (place), making Antu Hue Sur roughly «the place of the southern sun». The complex comprises four self-contained cabins of 120 m² each, on Rivadavia 1186, three blocks from Lago Lácar and four blocks from the commercial center of San Martín de los Andes. That short walk into town is practical: restaurants and shops are reachable on foot without sacrificing the quiet of a tree-lined residential neighborhood.

The interior design plays on contrast between local materials and a dark palette. Timber and stone from the region — materials that add warmth and reinforce the Patagonian setting — are paired with modern-line furniture in black, producing an interior with genuine character rather than the conventional rustic look.

Each cabin spans two floors. The ground floor holds a spacious living and dining area with a wood-burning fireplace and smart TV, a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and electric oven, a powder room, and a private deck with an outdoor laundry area. Upstairs, two bedrooms: the main with a queen-size bed and TV overlooking the mountain, and a secondary room with three single beds and a view to the forest. A full bathroom serves the upper floor. The defining feature is a reading loft — a mezzanine with a sofa from which Cerro Curruhinca fills the view. It is the kind of corner that makes a rainy Patagonian afternoon worthwhile.

Each cabin sleeps five — two in the main bedroom, three in the secondary — making the complex well suited to couples on a longer stay or families with children. A shared quincho with barbecue grill extends outdoor social life when the weather cooperates.

In terms of infrastructure, the property offers covered private parking, radiator heating, Wi-Fi, individual alarm systems and a backup generator — a meaningful detail in an area where power outages are not uncommon. Daily housekeeping and linen service are included.

San Martín de los Andes is the gateway to Lanín National Park, the Seven Lakes Route and the Chapelco ski area. From Rivadavia 1186 it is a short walk to the Lago Lácar pier, where boat excursions depart for Hua Hum and the Chilean border.
