El Laberinto de Nono

Nono , cordoba

Located in the heart of the Traslasierra Valley, in the picturesque town of Nono, El Laberinto de Nono has established itself as one of the most iconic recreational destinations in the province of Córdoba. This theme park, which combines ingenuity, contact with nature, and physical challenge, offers a comprehensive experience designed for visitors of all ages, from young children to adults seeking a serene and entertaining environment.

The heart of the complex is undoubtedly its Main Labyrinth. This living structure spans over 900 square meters, comprised of an intricate network of paths delimited by 1,600 tuyas (conifers). The history of this maze is a testament to patience and dedication: the site began preparation in 2003, and the planting took place in the winter of 2004. The plants were brought specifically from the town of Pedernales in the province of Buenos Aires and required years of meticulous care to reach the height and density necessary to hide the paths and challenge explorers’ sense of orientation today. In the center of the maze, an imposing wooden mangrullo (watchtower) serves as both the goal and a viewpoint, offering those who solve the puzzle a privileged panoramic view of the Sierras Grandes and the surrounding valley.

Beyond the main challenge, the park features a variety of playful stations that explore different concepts of the labyrinth. The Troy Labyrinth, for example, invites visitors to walk stone paths that replicate ancient designs with over 4,000 years of history, offering a more introspective and symbolic experience. For those seeking an intellectual test, the Numbers Labyrinth and the Colors Labyrinth present puzzles that must be solved as a team, encouraging logic and cooperation. Meanwhile, the Butterfly Labyrinth is designed specifically for the scale and safety of the youngest visitors, and the Racing Labyrinth allows two people to compete simultaneously in a mirrored course where victory is only revealed in the final second.

The entertainment offering extends to a series of coordination and skill games. From the age of eight, children can tackle circuits that stimulate fine motor skills and balance, while stations like “The Triangle” force participants to coordinate their movements to achieve a common goal, strengthening teamwork in a relaxed context. The youngest children also have a dedicated area under parental supervision, equipped with wooden houses, swings, slides, and bouncy games, ensuring that everyone is part of the day’s fun.

To round out the visit, the on-site Coffee House offers a gastronomic retreat with a terrace overlooking the entire park. From here, visitors can enjoy tea, artisanal cakes, regional platters, or toasted sandwiches while watching the movement of people within the mazes against the backdrop of the Córdoba mountains. This space serves not only as a place to rest but also as an ideal observation point to appreciate the geometry of the landscape design and the maturity of a park that has grown alongside the Nono Valley for over two decades.
